SENIOR PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER
We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to support and lead growth initiatives for our Core IT product line in Asia Pacific. This is a leadership role with visibility across the company that requires a blend of technical and marketing knowledge, sales and business acumen, and people skills.
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will guide demand generation, customer marketing and retention initiatives as well as lead our markets expansion strategy in Asia Pacific. This includes tracking overall product line performance in the region, new customer acquisition tactics, product launches, pricing and packaging decisions as well as writing product marketing content for email, web, blog posts, white papers, presentations and more.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the IT industry, application software/stacks and in particular of IT professionals.
PRODUCT MARKETING PHILOSOPHY
You know the customer better than anyone else at SolarWinds or our competitors. This is why we win. By knowing the customer, you will be able to create compelling content and know where to find prospects. It is up to you to define a successful go-to-market strategy, then to work with Demand Generation, Product Management, Sales, PR, and others to execute on that strategy.
Working with Sales
Product Marketing's job is to sell the product and answer all questions with marketing material before the future customer gets to sales. Inside sales reps expect prospects to understand their need and why our products can help them. We have a clear message in market and hand-off high quality prospects to sales. This role will also require a close working relationship with a technical pre-sales team to identify any trends or market dynamics that may need to be addressed to help the Sales teams execute on sales opportunities. Another important aspect of the role is to provide product marketing support to our Channel Partner network, this can take the form of messaging for trade shows and events, market awareness details, product collateral, product training and help with defining sales tactics to uncover more sales opportunities.
Corporate Marketing and Demand Generation
Product Marketing works closely with the marketing department to ensure we have effective content and are driving demand and new customer acquisition. The product marketing manager is personally responsible for defining go to market strategy and creation of the content for those campaigns. The marketing manager in demand gen owns executing campaigns, but the product marketing manager is equally accountable for the success or failure of those campaigns.
