    Learning and Development Manager, Sales Effectiveness

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop timely and effective learning solutions in multiple formats (iLT, viLT, digital formats, performance supports, and on-the-job development) for SolarWinds’ and our Partners’ salesforce
    • Leverage expertise in instructional systems design, the software business, and inside sales acumen to custom build and deliver highly consumable content on sales processes, sales skills, product and technical training
    • Serve as APAC program manager for the new hire on-boarding program, continuing education initiatives, product release training, and product certifications; responsible for localization, coordination, design, development, delivery, evaluation and ongoing analysis for constant improvement
    • Build, tailor, and/or deliver learning for quarterly events with channel partners
    • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders including sales leaders, sales engineers, product marketing, renewals, and L&D
    • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on our core products, including the underlying technology, customer personas and pain points, use cases, etc.
    • Make optimal use of our internal knowledge management systems, business applications and learning management systems for program coordination including registration, assignments, tracking, reporting, testing, and evaluation

    • Sales Acumen: understanding of prospects and a sense of how to approach a sale
    • Technical Knowledge: business-level understanding of IT concepts including networks, systems, and virtualization technology
    • Communication: crisp, compelling and practical style of writing, editing, speaking
    • Confidence: executive presence to credibly and confidently work with reps and sales leadership in and out of the classroom
    • Facilitation: facilitation skills that drive high levels of participant engagement
    • Collaboration: able to partner with the business to identify and address the root causes of performance needs to improve sales metrics
    • Program Management: able to prioritize, scope, plan, and execute to independently move projects forward in a fast-paced, global environment
    • Initiative: able to solve problems and ask for help when needed in order to independently move self and projects forward, in a fast paced, high volume culture     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in direct sales and/or channel with demonstrated sales training experience designing and delivering sales and/or technical training, ideally in a software or sales environment
    • International experience and exposure to be able to translate global messages, themes , etc. at a regional level
    • Ability to occasionally travel to international destinations
    • Experience in a fast-paced, iterative organization
    • Demonstrated passion for sales training
    • Ability to speak Mandarin a plus
