  • Overview

    The primary focus of this position is to be responsible for data and systems integrity for the HR function. This individual, serves as a technical point-of-contact for team members, ensuring data integrity, testing and support of system changes, report writing and analyzing data for process improvement opportunities and the design and delivery of HR & compensation metrics. The position will be responsible for regular Human Resource Management System (HRIS) reporting and will be a subject matter expert for the HRIS.  The HR Operations Analyst may also support documentation of the system, system-related training, and work with system admin on future implementations as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides assistance in HRIS maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades, releases or patches.
    • Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools in multiple systems.  Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing business needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
    • Continuously strives to improve process inefficiency, identifies opportunities to eradicate manual processes and transactions with automation, and works on special projects to support HR Operations, Compensation, Benefits and Learning & Development.
    • Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.  Maintains all system tables.  Documents process and results. Maintains system security roles to support business needs.
    • Provides functional support, including researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
    • Supports overall technology initiatives for the HR functions.
    • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with focus on service delivery and support, value, enterprise applicability and applying key technologies.  Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques.  Participates in user group meetings/conference.
    • Provides support with department projects, including gathering requirements, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
    • Handles timekeeping and closely coordinates with Payroll for the submission of validated timesheets. Coordinates with the timesheets approver for the timely submission.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Minimum of five years’ experience working with HR.
    • Minimum of three years’ experience with HRIS Administration.
    • Minimum of three years’ experience with MS Excel.

    Preferences:

    • Strong understanding of HR processes and data.
    • Knowledge of automated and integrated human resource information systems.
    • Experience in information systems applications, designs and computer platforms (i.e. relational databases, report writing, word-processing, spreadsheets, presentation applications, etc.).
    • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
    • Hands-on configuration experience in Human Capital Management modules.
    • Strong analytical and listening skills required to understand, review, analyze and recommend changes to existing processes.
    • Ability to understand complex processes and simplify/streamline processes.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required to ensure data integrity, manage multiple and competing deadlines and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
    • Ability to think creatively to resolve challenges and develop solutions.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and develop working relationships with HR staff, staff from other SolarWinds divisions as well as vendors.
    • Ability to lead and develop effective training and evaluation sessions for all levels of users
